Brenner is a German rock band from Gifhorn and Berlin .

Band history

Brenner were founded in 2018 by the two singers and songwriters Markus Siebert and Martin Goldenbaum (both vocals / guitar), Marc Beierstedt (guitar), Volker Schlag (bass) and Mario Enrico Oliva (drums). Their first big appearance took place in a disused train station in Gifhorn, which Volker Schlag converted into a live club. Guitarist Marc Beierstedt is his long-time colleague with whom he has already played in various bands. The two met their three fellow musicians through the live club.

The band began to market themselves as a biker band right from the start and described their style as “rock music with German lyrics for bikers”. There was an appearance at a songwriting contest by Electrola , in which the theme of motorcyclist songs was in the foreground. This was followed by a few more gigs, during which the band demonstrated their self-designed biker microphone stands. They then appeared at Universal Electrola's Neue Welle, a trade fair at which the top ranks of Universal were represented. Universal Music then signed the band.

The label sent the band to Vincent Sorg (including Broilers , Die Toten Hosen ) in Münster's studio, where the self-titled debut album was created, which was released on March 15, 2019 and reached number 26 in the German charts. In 2018, the band contributed the theme song for the sixth season of Celebrity Big Brother with Alles was ichwill .
