Brennpunkt ° - Museum of Heating Culture Vienna is a museum in Vienna's 12th district of Meidling . It is located in the building of the Hans Mandl vocational school at Malfattigasse 4.

The collection was founded in 1985 under the name of the Heating Museum of the City of Vienna on the initiative of Walter Beer and employees of Municipal Department 32 and was located at Längenfeldgasse 13-15 until 2009 . After a redesign and modernization, a new entrance was created in Malfattigasse.

It is a worldwide unique museum dedicated to the special collection area of heating . You can see valuable old ovens (from the Biedermeier oven in 1825 to tiled stoves from the turn of the century), gas heaters ( Art Nouveau ), kerosene and bath stoves, laundry and kitchen stoves, boiler systems , cooling machines, large kitchen facilities, steam heaters for schools and gardeners, a bread oven and handcrafted radiators . Further topics include the energy development of Vienna, the heating of Vienna's underground stations and the future of the city's energy supply. Interactive play stations on the subject of thermal energy have been set up for children.
