Brenock O'Connor (born April 9, 2000 in Worthing , West Sussex ) is a British child actor and singer .

life and career

Brenock O'Connor went to a Catholic school in Goring and attended the Theater Workshop Stage School in Brighton . He was already on the theater stage in his hometown at the age of six and received a theater grant for his performances.

O'Connor became famous in 2014 for his portrayal of the orphan boy Olly , who later becomes a member of the Night's Watch, from the series Game of Thrones . In the season five finale, his character stabbed his "mentor" Jon Snow and received angry fan mail that Jon is a favorite of many fans of the series. At the same time, however, his acting performance was praised. So he is in 2016 a. a. Nominated for a Saturn Award in the Best Young TV Actor category.

In addition to this portrayal, O'Connor also appeared in other series such as Holby City , Chickens and from 2015 to 2016 in Dickensian .
