Bresnitz (noble family)
The z Březnice ( German from Bresnitz ) are an old Bohemian noble family based in Bresnitz in southern Bohemia , which is documented as early as the 13th century and whose ancestors included the z Buzce , a family at the court of King Wenceslaus of Bohemia . After the 15th century the gender is no longer mentioned.
The journalist and historian Franz Philipp Bresnitz von Sydakoff (around 1870–1956) is probably a later descendant of the von Bresnitz family. He has authored several time-critical treatises on Eastern and Southeastern European dynasties and their governments - for example on Nicholas II.
