The Breuskes Mühlenbach is a right tributary of the Hellbach in Recklinghausen . It is part of the Emscher river system . The length of the stream is 4.3 km. Its source is north-west of the A 43. In the upper reaches, the stream had good water quality even before the Emscher system was rebuilt, as it has been preserved here as a pure watercourse. The lower course, which was straightened and provided with a concrete base during industrialization, was renatured by 2015. This was done as the first part of the redesign of the Hellbach catchment area as part of the project for the conversion of the Emscher system , supported by the city of Recklinghausen and the Emschergenossenschaft .
Due to its renaturation, the Breuskes Mühlenbach leads from its source to its confluence with the Hellbach pure and rainwater.
