The Breznik Heights (English; Bulgarian Брезнишки възвишения Bresnischki waswischenija ) are a 12 km long and over 600 m high mountain range on Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It extends between Santa Cruz Point in the northeast and Provadiya Hook base on Yankee Harbor in the southwest. With a few exceptions such as Oborishte Ridge , Ephraim Bluff , Viskyar Ridge and Bogdan Ridge , it is icy.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named the mountain range in 2005 after the town of Bresnik in western Bulgaria .
