The Ephraim Bluff is up to 425 m high rock cliff on the southeast coast of Greenwich Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 2.7 km west of Sartorius Point and, together with the opposite Renier Point on Livingston Island, marks the southeast entrance to McFarlane Strait . It belongs to the Breznik Heights .
The formation was named Mount Ephraim after the biblical figure Ephraim by American seal hunters between 1820 and 1822 . The evaluation of aerial photographs in the 1950s showed that it is less a mountain than a cliff, so the name has been adapted accordingly.
