Brian boys

Brian Junge (born April 29, 1970 in Fort St. John , British Columbia , Canada ) is a Canadian artist with Swiss and Indian roots. He attracted international attention with a series of masks (“Prototype for New Understanding”), which were reminiscent of cult objects of North American Indians and consisted of cut Nike sneakers.

Life and accomplishments

Brian Junge was born in 1970 in Canada to a Dunne-za mother and a Swiss national. In 1992 he graduated from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver and then appeared as an artist. With his series of sneakers he was able to attract attention at the time. In 2002 he received the Sobey Art Award , the most highly endowed Canadian award for young artists, for his services .

In 2012, Jungs took part in dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel , where he showed his work dog run in the Auepark .
