Brick Award
The Brick Award is an award that has been presented every two years since 2004 for outstanding buildings made from brick products and is organized by the Austrian company Wienerberger .
An international jury of renowned architects and architecture critics selects the submitted projects. 50 projects from 28 countries and five continents were nominated for the Brick Award 2012 and are endowed with a total of 27,000 euros.
Award winners
- 2004: Josef Pleskot from the Czech Republic for his pedestrian passage under Prague's Hradcany .
- 2006: Ferenc Csagoly and Ferenc Keller for a residential and office complex integrated into the historical environment in Pécs .
- 2008: Museum Kolumba in Cologne , which was designed by the architect Peter Zumthor .
- 2010: New state forum and state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein from the architecture studio Hansjörg Göritz
