The Brighton Verlag GmbH is a German publishing house based in Framersheim .

history

In 2005 the authorized signatory Sonju DiCarmen started her own business with Brighton Verlag . This was initially part-time until she gave up her job as a manager in 2011 and started working full-time in the film and publishing business.

program

The program includes children's books, fantasy, crime novels, thrillers, biographies, illustrated books, poems and the Indian way of life, including the crime series "MAINhattan-Krimi" by judge Dietmar Cuntz and "Kommissar Wischkamp" by Renate Behr. The publisher published aphorisms by Friederike Weichselbaumer , whose texts Konrad Seckinger set to music. Erich Sedlak , formerly PEN President of Austria, published his novel “Follow the footsteps in the darkness” in 2016 with Brighton Verlag.

Illustrated books

Special illustrated books are z. B. "Memopolis - Berlin memorials" by Eckhard Hammel , the portrayal of Ray Wilson by Christian Baltrusch, photo series by Dagmar Tollwerth about well-known personalities such as u. a. Xavier Naidoo , Christian Lindner and Veronica Ferres as well as by Jasmin N. Weidner on the Irish city of Limerick.

Anthologies

Since 2016 the publisher has been holding an annual writing competition, which leads to a special anthology, such as B. "Cross-word puzzle: deed-course".

Series

The publisher publishes the in-house series "Brighton Crime Time" based on the ghost hunter books from Sonju DiCarmens childhood, which is continued at least every six months with an eerie story. In addition, with the "Kruger Chronicles" there is medieval or aristocratic food.

Children's books

Presentation of the children's book "Princess Limitless"

The publisher publishes children's and youth literature. In 2016 “Sir Davey Jones - The Journey to the Rainbow Bridge” by Sonju Di Carmen and Jasmin N. Weidner was published with illustrations by Sabrina Kuhls. Several illustrated books about the dog Sir Davey Jones followed. "Lucas Märchenbuch", a collaboration between Manuela L. Grube and the former TV bachelor Jan Kralitschka , hit the book trade in 2017. Other authors whose children's books have been published by Brighton Verlag are Ute Fries, Manuela L. Grube, Ria Jost, Sandy Jud, Silvianne Lorenz and Riki Neudorfer.

Karan saga

The "Karan Saga" is a book series by Sonju DiCarmen, in which the interplay between Indian and British culture is discussed. It currently contains six volumes and is supplemented by a coloring book for adults.

Kruger Chronicles

In these chronicles, Thomas W. Krüger illuminates the noble families of the world from the point of view of the male bloodline. To this end, he created extensive family trees that show the intermingling of the different dynasties in the history of European rule. Weddings, descent, rulers' titles and life dates of historically relevant personalities are highlighted.

Others

The publishing house has its own book fair in Worms-Rheindürkheim, which was accompanied by an exhibition for the first time in 2015. In accordance with the publishing program, the focus of activities is on regional jobs and only produces in Germany. All book sales have already been donated to charity.

Brighton Verlag is co-organizer of the annual event " Framersheim Wine Experience ", which always takes place in May / June.
