Early Middle Ages

Framersheim is like most of the Rheinhessen towns with the ending -heim a Franconian foundation of the 5th / 6th. Century. The place is documented with five deeds of donation to the Lorsch Monastery (No. 878, 1402, 1649, 1766, 1787). It was first mentioned in a document from 1649, from October 769 to October 770, with which Rothdrud handed over everything that I have owned in "Frigmersheim" so far.

Modern times

In the late afternoon of July 7, 2015, a heavy storm swept over the town and damaged almost 100 buildings, some of them and many roofs were destroyed, numerous trees were broken. The property damage is estimated at around five million euros. Some people were injured while cleaning up. Meteorologists checked whether it was a falling gust or a tornado . Further investigation revealed that it was probably a drop gust of magnitude F2.
