Wahlheim is a municipality in the Alzey-Worms district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Alzey-Land association.

The Sandmühle residential area also belongs to Wahlheim .
By Wahlheim flowing Aufspringbach . Wahlheim is the center of the “Kühlen Grund”.
Neighboring communities are Esselborn , Freimersheim (Rheinhessen) and Kettenheim .
history
The village of Wahlheim in the Kettenheimer Grund , once called Walaheim , belonged to Alzey Castle . In 1400 the Count Palatine Ruprecht III bought. from the castle man Heinrich Bock von Lonsheim two parts of the village and district . Since 1633 the place belonged to the Electoral Palatinate . In the area there was also an estate belonging to the Waida monastery near Dautenheim . The twenty-tube fountain (called "Blickenbrunnen"), which once stood between the two districts, was restored in 1994.
