Brigitte Biermann

Brigitte Biermann (* 1969 ) works in the field of sustainable development. She has been the managing director of triple innova GmbH since 2008 and professor for sustainable product management since 2015.

Life

Biermann studied political and social sciences, philosophy and law from 1988 to 1995 at the Universities of Bonn , Padua (Italy), Duisburg and Groningen (Netherlands) with a degree in social science. 1990–1995 she received a scholarship from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation .

In 1996 Biermann was a research associate at the Rhine-Ruhr Institute for Social Research and Policy Advice at the University of Duisburg.

1997–2000 she worked as a project manager for scientific advanced training in the planning department of the FernUniversität in Hagen .

1998–2002 she was a lecturer at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Bochum .

2000–2005 Biermann was the coordinator of the interdisciplinary master's degree in environmental sciences at the Open University in Hagen and a research assistant in the project "Environmental Management and Service Export" in the water industry (ProWaDi).

2006 doctorate it to the Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Hagen.

Since 2008 she has been managing director of triple innova GmbH in Wuppertal and lecturer at the FernUniversität in Hagen in the master's degree in environmental sciences.

Biermann has been Professor of Sustainable Product Management at the HfWU in Geislingen since 2015 .
