Briskeby is an electro - band from Larvik , Norway . Vocalist Lise Karlsnes comes from Tønsberg . The name is derived from the district of the same name in Oslo, where the band's rehearsal room was located.

The band was the opening act on the a-ha tour in 2000 . The album "Jumping On Cars" featured a collaboration with Ken Stringfellow . Together they released the song "Joe Dallesandro". After the band broke up, the three male musicians formed the band The Disciplines together with Stringfellow , while Lise Karlsnes discovered new fields of activity and initially designed a sunglasses collection. After five years of abstinence, they got back together for a few concerts in 2013. Shortly before it was broken up again, the single "Rookie Mistakes" was released in 2015, but it was not very successful.

The band won the Norwegian Spellemann Prize four times .
