Britt Hagen
Britt Hagen (* 22 February 1944 as Brigitta Klingenhagen in Bad Oeynhausen ) is a former German pop singer who in the early 1960s had published records.
career
The German record company Ariola organized several large competitions for young singers in the late 1950s. At the insistence of the family, 15-year-old Brigitta took part in one of these competitions (“Girls at the Microphone”) and took third place. With that she got a record deal with Ariola, where her first single was produced in early 1960 under the direction of Willy Hoffmann . It was published in February 1960 under its stage name Britt Hagen under catalog number 35 252. Willy Hoffmann remained her producer, he was also responsible for Britt Hagen's only record success. On the single No. 35 864 Ariloa brought out Hagen's third single in March 1961, which contained the title Sag adieu . It is a cover version of the French title Petite fleur , which had already become known in Germany in the instrumental version by Chris Barber . With the German text by Günter Loose , Britt Hagen reached the top 50 hit rating of the music magazine Musikmarkt with her version , was represented there for eight weeks and had the best rating with 40th place. In 1962 Britt Hagen switched to producer Nils Nobach and moved from Bad Oeynhausen to West Berlin . In May 1962 her fourth Ariola single was released, with which Nobach tried to let Britt Hagen sing in the style of Angèle Durand . This led to a falling out with Ariola and Hagen canceled her record deal. She became the lead singer with Hajo Döring's orchestra, with whom she worked until 1988. She later ran a real estate company with her husband.
In 1965, the German Vogue also released a single with the artist Britt Hagen. After the original Britt Hagen filed a lawsuit against this, Vogue withdrew the record and re-released it with the artist Brigitte Bergen.
