Britta Schulze-Thulin

Britta Schulze-Thulin (born June 26, 1966 in Düsseldorf ) is a German linguist and author .

After graduating from high school in 1985 at the Königin-Olga-Stift in Stuttgart, she studied from 1985 to 1991/1992 primarily at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg im Breisgau, but also in 1987/88 in Taiwan, in 1988 at the University of Cologne, in 1988 / 89 and 1989/90 in Aberystwyth / Wales and 1991/92 in Maynooth / Ireland General Linguistics, Indo-European Studies , Sinology , Scandinavian Studies and Celtology . In 1991 she completed her studies at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg im Breisgau with a Magister Artium in Scandinavian Studies, Celtology and General Linguistics.

In 1993 she was a research assistant in the field of Indo-European studies at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg , and in 1998 she did her doctorate in this field in Halle. In 2001 and 2002 she worked as a senior assistant at the University of Cologne, and in 2003 as a research assistant at the research institute in Aberystwyth, Wales.

Since 2003 she has been living as a freelance writer (mainly for travel, hiking and language guides) and lecturer (Irish Gaelic at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg) in Halle an der Saale, where she was also director of the 2004-2005 Writers of the Senioren-Kreativ-Verein e. In 2010 a poem by Britta Schulze-Tullin was published as part of the 1st season of Halle's "Tram Poems".
