The Broadgate Tower (also known by its address 201 Bishopsgate ) is a skyscraper in London 's financial district City of London . The 164-meter-high building was built from 2005 to 2009 over the access tracks to Liverpool Street Station and is one of the tallest buildings in the city. It is part of a 13-acre business district called Broadgate with office and retail space on and around Broad Street Station, which existed until 1986 . 37,000 m² of office space is spread over 35 floors. In 2008 the building was nominated for the Carbuncle Cup .
