Brockhimbergen is a district of the municipality of Himbergen in Lower Saxony with 71 inhabitants .

history

Brockhimbergen, two kilometers southwest of Himbergen, was originally a round , which is only partially visible today. The local road originally led past the village. The entrance to the village can still be seen today as a cobblestone street next to the bus shelter. From the 19th century, two farms were relocated and shape today's western townscape.

In the pre- and post-war years Brockhimbergen was an independent municipality to which Kollendorf also belonged. On July 1, 1972, it was incorporated into the municipality of Himbergen.

Of the original seven farms, only two are still managed today. The first mention of Brockhimbergen or Brochintbergun (the first name written down) was 1006. That is why the village celebrated a 1000 year festival in 2006 with a stone unveiling and a barn party with a band contest.

In addition, the Brockhimbergen Volunteer Fire Brigade turned 100 in 2006 and celebrated its 60th anniversary after the end of the Second World War . In addition, after 30 years of service, the old fire engine was retired to the Autostadt Museum "Haus der Zeit" in Wolfsburg. At the same time, the new portable pump vehicle (TSF) was put into service.
