Brofaction
Brofaction is an Austrian music duo consisting of the brothers Nico Greiter (born August 1, 1994 in Oberpullendorf ) and Laurin Greiter (born November 4, 1998 in Oberpullendorf). It was founded in 2014 under the name Laurin & Nico and renamed Brofaction a year later .
Band history
Laurin and Nico Greiter have been playing together since their earliest childhood and gained their first musical experience on a three-year trip to the South Seas, which influenced their later musical style. Both singers are also proficient in several instruments such as guitar, piano and drums. The band, which has existed since 2014 - at that time under the name Laurin & Nico - is primarily characterized by harmonious, two-part chants.
Laurin Greiter was part of the finals of the Kiddy Contest in 2010 , in the subsequent tour he performed, for example, in the Wiener Stadthalle , the Graz Stadthalle and the Tips Arena in Linz. The album of the Kiddy Contest, which contains his song Hokus Pokus , stayed at number 1 on the Austrian album charts for several months and achieved double platinum status. In 2013 Laurin Greiter sang in the Sat-1 casting show The Voice Kids . There he was able to prevail in the battles against two other talents and failed a show before the final in the Sing Offs.
The song One Day Left , published on August 16, 2014, entered the Ö3 listener charts at number 28 in November 2014, making it the highest Austrian new entry. The single also enjoyed international success, in Hong Kong it even appeared in the Top 10 of the iTunes charts. The brothers also took third place in the world at Global Rockstar, the world's largest online band competition, in which 10,000 performers from 144 countries took part. In the preliminary round they were able to prevail against several hundred Austrian participants and failed in the final against the Argentinian Jhanniel and Ala Ghawas from Bahrain.
In 2015 the band was renamed Brofaction and the second single Back at the Playground was released.
In 2016 the band wrote and interpreted the official song for the Miss Austria election 2016 in collaboration with the Austrian DJ Valoriz . The song There She Goes made it into several German charts and was featured internationally in numerous radio stations, such as B. RTL 89.0, Radio Berlin , Antenne Frankfurt , Antenne Brandenburg , and much more. played.
A year later, the single Right Beside Me (feat. Laura Kamhuber ) , the official song for the Dancer Against Cancer ball, was released. All income generated by the song was donated to cancer aid.
Brofaction's first studio album was released on March 15, 2019 under the name Message to the World. The included song My Mind's Made up was released 14 days earlier on March 1, 2019.
