Antenne Brandenburg is a radio program of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) that goes back to the GDR radio program of the same name , which in turn emerged from the Potsdam broadcaster .
Antenne Brandenburg was also the name of a regional state studio of the German television broadcasting company for the state of Brandenburg. This went on the air on August 13, 1990 under the name Landessender Brandenburg (LSB) and was renamed on August 12, 1991. It was discontinued when the DFF closed on December 31, 1991.
program
Antenne Brandenburg mainly broadcasts music, but also regional information for the state of Brandenburg . The choice of music ranges between soft pop, oldies, hits and current hits. Antenne Brandenburg has been the most listened to station in Brandenburg since the fall of the Wall. The program is split up in order to broadcast regional news and service information for the regions Cottbus , Frankfurt (Oder) , Perleberg , Prenzlau (only 05:30 - 11:30 a.m.) and Potsdam every half hour . From Monday to Friday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. there are regional magazines (not from Perleberg and Prenzlau). In the evenings from 10 p.m. to midnight, Antenne Brandenburg produces the program Pop nach ten together with rbb 88.8 on a weekly basis (between Potsdam and Berlin) . The ARD hit night is taken over daily by the NDR between midnight and 5 a.m., on weekends and public holidays until 6 a.m.
history
The transmitter initially belonged to the radio of the GDR . It was the successor to three of the 14 regional programs from Frankfurt (Oder), Potsdam and Cottbus, which the station Radio DDR 2 broadcast between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. for the districts of the GDR. After the fall of the Berlin Wall , efforts were made to re-establish the East German states that had been abolished in 1952 . This fact was also taken into account in television and radio in the GDR and regional reporting was geared accordingly. On May 6, 1990, Antenne Brandenburg began broadcasting on the Brandenburg frequency of Radio DDR 2. On December 31, 1991 the broadcasting of the GDR radio was stopped and in the state of Brandenburg the Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg began broadcasting. Antenne Brandenburg was continued as a state broadcaster by the ORB. Even after the merger of ORB and SFB to form RBB on May 1, 2003, the station was retained as a regional program for Brandenburg.
