Luigi Brogna

Luigi Brogna (* 1961 in Messina ; † February 29, 2008 ibid) was a German-speaking writer of Italian origin.

Luigi Brogna grew up in Sicily. When his father moved to Baden-Württemberg, ten-year-old Brogna followed suit with the family. He lived in Eislingen . Brogna published two autobiographical novels in which he describes his childhood in Sicily and the confrontation between the Italian and Swabian ways of life. Brogna died unexpectedly on February 29, 2008 at the age of 46 of a heart attack while on a research trip to Sicily. His funeral took place in Eislingen. Brogna left a wife and two daughters.
