Brokerjet was the online broker of Erste Bank in Austria . Brokerjet was launched on the Austrian market in summer 2001 by ecetra Central European e-Finance AG (ecetra stands for Erste Bank Central European Trading) and was renamed Brokerjet Bank AG on October 1, 2012. Brokerjet Bank AG was a 100% subsidiary of Erste Group Bank AG and had its own full banking license in Austria. On September 1, 2014, Brokerjet was incorporated into Erste Bank Austria and has not been an independent company since. On July 13, 2015 it was announced that the Brokerjet service will be discontinued on November 30, 2015.

In addition to Austria, Brokerjet services have been offered through joint venture investments since 2003 in the Czech Republic, since 2010 in Slovakia, since 2011 in Poland and until 2013 in Slovenia. In total, more than 56,000 customers with client assets of around 1 billion euros were served in these countries and around 1 million trades were processed per year.

Tradable products and markets
Trading in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, certificates, warrants and ETFs was possible via Brokerjet. There will be direct access to 28 international stock exchanges (Xetra Vienna, Xetra Frankfurt, German floor exchanges, EUWAX, Scoach, AMEX, NASDAQ , NYSE, Prague with Kobos and SPAD, London , Zurich, Brussels, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Oslo, Stockholm, Madrid , Amsterdam, Helsinki, Milan, Paris , Ljubljana ) as well as over-the-counter trading with around 20 issuers. In March 2010 the CEE exchanges in Warsaw , Budapest and Zagreb were also connected.
Brokerjet had three differently oriented trading platforms and a financial information portal in its program. The Brokerjet WebTrader is the standard platform. The Brokerjet ProTrader is geared towards professional traders.
Initial and continuing education
The Brokerjet Academy was founded in 2003 with the aim of imparting knowledge of securities and stock exchange know-how. Seminars or webinars are on a wide variety of trading topics.
Awards
Based on a customer survey in 2010, the investor magazine Börse Online named Brokerjet the best online broker in Austria.
In 2010, the German finance portal broker-test.de carried out a broker poll for the tenth time with 40 participating broker institutes and around 45,000 ratings. In the ETF Broker 2010 category, brokerjet came third.
