Bronk was an American television series produced by MGM Television for CBS . Between 1975 and 1976 there was a 24-episode season with Jack Palance in the lead role. The pilot episode was directed by Richard Donner . The series' guest stars included Michael Parks , Mark Hamill , John Huston and Vic Morrow , and it was nominated for three Emmy Awards.
In Germany, the series was first broadcast in 1987 with only 13 episodes. The pilot film was not shown when it was first broadcast on German television, but only in 1989 when the series was repeated.

Detective officer Lieutenant Alex "Bronk" Bronkov is suspended when one of his colleagues is killed in a drug raid. The Mayor of Ocean City then entrusts him with the fight against corruption . Bronkov's partners are the former police officer Harry Mark, who now runs a car recycling business, and police sergeant John Webber. Bronk's wife was killed in a car accident that also seriously injured and paralyzed his daughter, and taking care of his daughter takes up a lot of space in the series.
