Carmela de Feo (born February 21, 1973 in Oberhausen - Alstaden ), also known by the name of her stage character La Signora , is a German musician , singer , actress and comedian .

Live and act

Carmela de Feo grew up as the daughter of Italian migrant workers . From 1981 she received accordion lessons and had her first engagement in 1985. From 1987 she took part in international concerts and competitions in accordion ensembles from Oberhausen and Bottrop . As a member of the Eisenheim Accordion Sextet , she won international competition prizes in the artistic level category from 1992 to 1995. From 1993 to 1996 de Feo studied accordion at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen with Mie Miki . In 1995 she was a master student with Ivan Koval and in 1997 she completed a tango master class with Hugo Diaz.

From 1994 to 1998 she played in the tango ensemble Primavera del Tango , which gave several concerts. In 1997 she took over the bandoneon part of the German premiere of the tango opera María de Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla in Bottrop with the Neue Ruhr Kammerphilharmonie under the direction of Rolf Donner . Since 1999 she has been giving regular concerts with the soprano Franziska Dannheim , with whom she appeared as the tango comedy duo CocoLorez and whose first program machos y muchachos premiered in 2000. At Theater Oberhausen she worked as a stage musician in various programs, such as under the direction of Michael Barfuß in 2001 at the Hanns Eisler Evening and in 2003 with Absinth a song recital and under the direction of Werner Schroeter in 2002 with The Divine Flame .

As part of the duo CocoLorez , de Feo went on tour in Germany in 2005 . De Feo then developed the role of "La Signora", in which she gives an Italian singing and accordion-playing as an "Italo-Ruhrpott woman looking for men". Her solo program for mix shows , I am called la Signora and I am a woman! premiered in 2006. In 2006 she took over the moderation of the mix shows Sturmfrei Stube in Essen-Werden and ComKabClub in Düsseldorf . Since 2007 she has been moderating her own mix show LaSignorasComedyClub in Oberhausen's Ebertbad .

In addition to being a musician, singer and comedian, she is also an actress. Among other things, she appeared from 2006 in the Oberhausen theater at the music theater evening Addio Napoli! Buonasera Oberhausen! and gave up the role of Heilsarmistin in Brecht's Die Heiligen Johanna der Schlachthöfe , directed by Otto Schnelling, and the role of Edith von Turkow in the adaptation of the film comedy Die Drei von der Gasstelle , directed by Thomas Goritzki. She has recorded several CDs (accordion, vocals) and has been involved in several joint productions.

Her first solo program Be Mine with the character of La Signora , which she developed , premiered in 2007, and since then she has been touring Germany regularly and has already sold out performances several times. In 2008 she was invited to the International Cologne Comedy Festival , where she appeared in the opening show in October 2008. In December of the same year, an appearance at the Arosa Humor Festival followed . At the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009 she took over the representation of the Italian Francesca De Martin in the successful cabaret production Lappen weg - Women without rules , where she and Gerburg Jahnke u. a. played and performed in Herne, Halle and Leipzig, among others.

De Feo won the “Golden Besen” and the audience award at the Stuttgart Besen cabaret competition in 2009 .

Radio and television appearances

De Feo has appeared several times on radio and television. Among other things, Funkhaus Europa broadcast a portrait of de Feo in Italian in October 2007. In April 2008 she appeared in the comedy television program Alfons and his guests on SR / SWR television; the program was also broadcast by 3sat . The radio broadcaster WDR presented it in June 2008 in a so-called cabaret slam in the Dortmund Cabaret Queue and broadcast a recording of it in the entertainment program Streng publicly on WDR 5 .
