Brookhouse ( Welsh Brwcws [ pronunciation ? / I ]) is a village in the Denbigh community in the Welsh Principal Area Denbighshire . Audio file / audio sample

geography

Brookhouse is in the southeast of Denbigh Community , the capital of Denbighshire , on the A525 road on the banks of the Afon Ystrad River . In terms of the wards , Brookhouse is in Denbigh Lower Ward .

religion

There are two churches in Brookhouse: in the northern part of the village the Brookhouse Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Chapel , built in 1869, and in the western part, the Brookhouse Welsh Independent Chapel , built in 1832 .

Buildings

Brook House is a grain mill Brookhouse Mill from the 17th century to be located, which houses a restaurant today. The mill itself was in operation until 1965, but was then closed. After the building was renovated, however, a restaurant that has a good reputation in the region moved in. There is also the Brookhouse Pottery , which can be found in a building from the 19th century that was originally used as a malt house .

The only building in Brookhouse on the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest is the Brookhouse Farm building , most of which is believed to date from the 18th century.
