Bror Arontzon

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bror Viktor Arontzon (born October 7, 1897 in Borås , † November 25, 1967 ibid) was a Swedish football player . Between 1919 and 1921, the striker played four international matches for the Swedish national team and scored one goal.

Career

Arontzon played for IF Elfsborg in the 1910s and 1920s . After his teammate Axel Larsson was the club's first player in the national jersey in May 1918, he followed him in the autumn of the following year. In the 3-3 draw against Finland on September 28th, he appeared alongside the two-time successful Rudolf Kock as a goal scorer. By 1921 he ran in three more games for the national team, but at the Olympic Games in 1920 he was not one of the selected Olympians.

Arontzon had missed the admission with his club when the Allsvenskan was introduced as a national league in 1924. After two years in the second highest division, he rose with the team in 1926, and in the 1926/27 season there are four games for him without scoring.

Nothing is currently known about Arontzon's further life - especially away from the football field.
