Bruce Bagemihl

Bruce Bagemihl (* 1962 ) is a Canadian biologist , linguist and author .

Life

After finishing school, Bagemihl studied biology . In linguistics , Bagemihl received a Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia .

At his alma mater he taught linguistics and cognitive science ,

Bagemihl published the book Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity in 1999 . In this book, Bagemihl describes homosexual and bisexual behavior as normal among animals in nature .

As a result of the work of Bagemihl and Joan Roughgarden , the international exhibition Against Nature? started in Oslo. The subject of the exhibition is the occurrence and function of homosexuality among animals. This makes it the first exhibition of its kind.
