The Bruderhöhle is a cave in the northern Black Forest , located on the western slope of the Nagold Valley north of Hirsau and west of Ernstmühl, both districts of Calw .

The Bruderhöhle, a geotope protected by the state of Baden-Württemberg , is located in the middle red sandstone and was created by weathering the rock. There are clear fissures in the surrounding rock formations, and honeycomb weathering can be seen. The cave is approx. 12 m long, 2 to 3 m high and accessible to visitors without restrictions. In the cave and also on boulders in the immediate vicinity, pronounced stratification structures can be seen in some cases. The cave probably got its name from a monk who lived there as a hermit around 1480 .

The brother's cave is no longer entirely in its original natural state. The most striking human change is a small brick chimney that connects the cave interior with the surface above. There is also a sandstone bench in front of a small brick wall in the entrance area. At the foot of the natural rock column in front of the entrance, there has also been masonry for several years (not yet in place in 2000).
