The Bruix Cove ( Spanish Caleta Bruix ) is a small bay in the east of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located in the southern part of Moon Bay .
Argentine scientists named it around 1970. It was named after Alexis Vital Joseph, Baron de Bruix (also known as Alejo Bruix , 1790-1825), a protagonist in the Argentine War of Independence. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2003.
