The Brundageplatz is a place in the Munich Olympic Park in Milbertshofen-Am Hart ( Am Riesenfeld ).

The BMW Welt is located on it in the south, the student quarter Oberwiesenfeld and the Olympia Tower in the northwest, the Olympic village and a skatepark in the west, as well as the former bus station and the Olympiazentrum underground station on Lerchenauer Strasse .

It is planned to expand the Olympic Park by 6,000 square meters at this (previously asphalted) place as a green entrance .

history

Today it is under ensemble protection under the file number E-1-62-000-70 . It was named after Avery Brundage ( 1952-1972 President of the IOC ) in 1975 .
