Brunhilde Liebrecht

Brunhilde Liebrecht (born March 23, 1953 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from high school, Liebrecht attended a technical school. She then worked in a special laboratory at the II Medical University Clinic in Halle in the Kröllwitz Clinic until 1989.

In 1989 Liebrecht took over the district office of the CDU Halle (Saale). In 1990 she became the state manager of the Sachsen-Anhalt women's union and then chairwoman of the Halle-Süd local association and deputy district chairwoman of the CDU Halle. From 1993 to 1998 she was a consultant in the parliamentary group of the CDU and also state manager of the Sachsen-Anhalt women's union. From 1998 to 2006 she was a member of the state parliament. In 1998, she moved over the national list, in 2002 she won the direct mandate in parliament constituency Hall V . In the 2006 state elections, she narrowly missed the direct mandate in the Halle IV state electoral district . During her time in parliament, Liebrecht was a member of the Committee for Health and Social Affairs and, from 2002, she was also the social and health policy spokesperson for the CDU parliamentary group. She was also a member of the state committee of the CDU Saxony-Anhalt for health and social affairs as state manager as well as the state executive committee of the Frauen Union Sachsen-Anhalt and has been an assessor in the federal executive committee of the women's union since 1997.
