Bruno Binder (lawyer)

Bruno Binder (* 22. December 1948 in Linz ) is an Austrian jurist , lawyer and Emeritus Professor of Public Law at the University of Linz .

Life

Bruno Binder graduated from the Akademisches Gymnasium Linz and then studied law at the University of Linz from 1968 to 1972 , where he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . He was then a trainee judge in Vienna and a trainee lawyer in Linz and university assistant in Linz. In 1978 he completed his habilitation at the University of Linz, where he was Professor of Public Law from 1985 until his retirement in 2017. He was head of the Institute for Public Commercial Law and Vice Rector for Teaching. Binder played a key role in developing and organizing multimedia studies in law and cyber teaching at the JKU.

In 2015 he was procedural lawyer for the parliamentary committee of inquiry into the hypo scandal .
