Bruno Decker

Bruno Decker (born April 16, 1871 in Stettin , † October 2, 1922 in Berlin ) was a German dramaturge, opera director and operetta librettist.

Live and act

After completing his university studies, Dr. phil. Bruno Decker trained as a director by Hans Gregor and as a conductor by Kapellmeister Thienemann. He made his stage debut in 1896 at the Schleswig City Theater. Commitments to Barmen-Elberfeld, Leipzig and Berlin (Viktoria-Theater and Theater des Westens) followed. He also worked as a playwright and composer. Decker wrote libretti for numerous operettas and pageants , especially with Robert Pohl .
