Bruno Fink

Bruno Fink (* 1947 ) is a German clergyman and book author.

Fink grew up in Ottobeuren. He studied philosophy and theology in Rome as an alumnus at the Collegium Germanicum . In 1972 Cardinal Julius Döpfner from Munich ordained him a priest in Freising and he held several chaplain positions. In 1978 Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger appointed him his private secretary. In 1982 he accompanied him to Rome to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith . In 1984 he became pastor in Maria Ramersdorf , later also dean of the dean's office in Munich-Ramersdorf / Perlach . In September 1995 he moved to the parish of St. Severin von Noricum in Garching near Munich . From 1999 he was pastor of the St. Ludwig University Church for one year and then became pastor in Prien am Chiemsee and dean of the Chiemsee deanery. In November 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him chaplain to His Holiness . In 2014 he retired.

On June 28, 2016, he published the book Between Typewriter and Pileolus. Memories of my time as secretary to the Most Revered Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in Munich and Rome, September 1978 - December 1983 , in which he looks back on the time together with the future Pope.
