Bruno Genrichowitsch Reiter

Bruno Genrichowitsch Reiter , Russian : Бруно́ Ге́нрихович Ре́йтер , also: Reyter or Reuter , (born April 28, 1941 in Hussenbach , Volga-German Republic , Soviet Union ; † August 16, 2019 in Omsk Oblast ) was a Russian agricultural scientist and politician . Reiter was the initiator, founder and first director of the Deutsches Nationalrajon Asowo , a district in the western Siberian Oblast of Omsk in Russia .

Life

Bruno Reiter worked in agricultural research for more than 30 years. He was a PhD in life sciences and was a professor of genetics and head of the immunogenetics laboratory at the Siberian Agricultural Research Institute.

From 1990 to 1994 Reiter was a member of the regional council and legislative assembly in Omsk Oblast. In 1992 he was the initiator, founder and until 2010 “District Administrator” of the German National Rajon Asowo, which is inhabited by many Russian Germans, among others . To this end, Reiter was able to build up the district with financial aid from Germany worth millions (up to 2010: 100 million euros).
