Bruno Hillmann (1869–1928)

Bruno Hillmann (born March 24, 1869 in Kamenz ; † April 26, 1928 in Zurich ) was a German watchmaker and specialist author .

After an apprenticeship as a watchmaker in Großenhain in Saxony and further training in various European countries, he ran a watchmaker's shop in Leipzig from 1901 to 1910 . At the same time he was editor of the Deutsche Uhrmacherzeitung . From 1922 he taught at the Schwenningen precision engineering school and finally moved to Zurich , where he ran a workshop and published numerous specialist publications. His 1925 work on the wristwatch is considered to be the first specialist book on the watch type, which was still new at the time.
