Bruno Schöne

Bruno Woldemar Schöne (* May 5, 1878 , † after 1959) was a German agricultural politician.

Life

Initially active in agriculture from 1896 to 1899, Bruno Schöne studied agriculture and economics at the University of Leipzig from 1899 to 1903 . In 1900 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Leipzig. In 1904 he went to the agricultural winter school in Mengeringhausen as an agriculture teacher . In 1905 he switched to the Chamber of Agriculture of the Province of Saxony in Halle (Saale) as an assistant . In 1907 he went to the Reich Statistical Office in Berlin . In 1908 he was appointed to the State Cultural Council of Saxony in Dresden and in 1911 appointed its managing director. In 1925 he became director of the Saxony Chamber of Agriculture . In addition, he was head of the Association of Agricultural Cooperatives in Saxony from 1919. Schöne, who was a member of the DNVP from 1919 to 1930 , was relieved of all his posts in 1933 and since then has practically been involved in agriculture.

After the Second World War he joined the newly founded CDU in the Soviet occupation zone in 1945 . From July 1945 to March 1946 he was a member of the state administration of Saxony . He was responsible for the food and agriculture department and headed the association of agricultural cooperatives. In October 1945 he was appointed Ministerialrat. In June 1946 he was promoted to the main board of the CDU and in February 1947, succeeding Johannes Hummel, he became chairman of the committee for agriculture and forestry of the CDU zone management and the CDU regional association of Saxony, and in autumn 1949 he was finally head of the agriculture department. and forestry of the CDU main board. After the forced resignation of the Saxon CDU state chairman Hugo Hickmann at the end of January 1950, Schöne, who resolutely opposed the communist system and condemned the political line of the CDU, was relieved of all offices on February 1, 1950 and expelled from the CDU Saxony . In 1959 he left the GDR and moved to the Federal Republic .
