Jürgen Gruhle

Jürgen Gruhle (born January 14, 1959 in Weimar ; † September 3, 2010 near Florence ) was active as a journalist in dealing with the forced collectivization of agriculture in the GDR .

After completing his vocational training with high school diploma at Carl Zeiss Jena , Gruhle studied geodesy at the TU Dresden from 1978 to 1983 , before doing real estate services for the Erfurt District Council in state surveying until 1990 after completing his military service . Until 1999 Gruhle worked as a graduate surveyor in surveying offices before he devoted himself entirely to the journalistic reappraisal of the GDR past in the context of the land reform . Under the main title Without God and Sunshine , several documentaries on the forced collectivization of agriculture in Thuringia have been published.

Gruhle had a fatal accident near Florence on September 3, 2010.
