Bruno Schröder (politician)

Bruno Schröder (born April 23, 1894 in Großneuhausen , Thuringia , † March 3, 1968 in Hanover ) was a German politician ( FDP , SPD ), member of the Lower Saxony state parliament and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After attending primary school, Bruno Schröder trained as a cadastral technician and then worked in industry as a technician. He was seriously wounded in the First World War . From 1919 he began to get involved politically. He attended state school and then became secretary for the German Democratic Party in East Frisia, Rhineland, Westphalia, Braunschweig and Hanover. At the same time he worked as an editor in party newspapers and wrote reports for a large democratic publisher. Since the democratic parties were dissolved by the NSDAP during the National Socialist era , he had to give up these activities. He was monitored by the Gestapo and his house was searched several times. From 1934 he worked as an independent commercial representative in industry and trade.

From December 9, 1946 to March 28, 1947 he was a member of the appointed Lower Saxony State Parliament and from April 20, 1947 to May 5, 1955 a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament (1st and 2nd electoral periods). He was a member of the FDP parliamentary group until April 27, 1954, after which he was initially non-attached from April 28, 1954. From June 21, 1954 to January 23, 1955 he was a member of the Liberal Federation and finally became a parliamentary group member of the SPD on January 24, 1955.
