The Brunsvollbotnen is an icy Kar in East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In Heimefrontfjella it is located between the mountain ridges Sanengenrusta and Malmrusta on the northwest side of Sivorgfjella .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1987 after the Norwegian housewife Kirsten Brunvoll (1895–1976), who, together with her husband and their two sons, had produced and distributed newspapers in the resistance against the German occupation of Norway in World War II .
