Bryan Adams is the self-titled debut album by Canadian rock singer Bryan Adams . The album was released on February 12, 1980 by his music label A&M Records . It could only celebrate small successes in Canada . The song Hidin 'from Love reached number 64, Give Me Your Love made it to number 91 on the Canadian charts.

history

In the spring of 1978 Bryan Adams began his collaboration with Jim Vallance (founder of the Canadian rock band Prism ) to form a songwriting duo. Adams' record company A&M gave both of them a songwriting contract and Adams a singer recording contract. He worked on his debut album from February 12, 1979 to November 29, 1979, which was finally released on February 12, 1980.

Bryan Adams' first tour was in Canada only, playing in clubs and colleges, this was during the time Adams was producing the songs for his breakthrough You Want It You Got It (1981).

Covered tracks

  • Adams originally wrote the song Wastin 'Time for Bachman-Turner Overdrive , and it appeared on their album Rock' n 'Roll Nights in 1979 .
  • In 1982 the songs Hidin 'from Love and Remember were covered by the British group Rosetta Stone . Her version of Hidin 'from Love peaked at number 46 in Canada.
  • Scandal recorded the song Win Some, Lose Some for their debut EP from 1982. It was released as the third single from their EP, but didn't make it to the charts.
