Run to You (English for. " To you run ") is a song by Bryan Adams , that he and Jim Vallance was written. It appeared on the album Reckless in 1984 .
Emergence
The song was written on January 10, 1983. The title was rejected by Blue Öyster Cult and 38 Special before being offered to Bryan Adams.
After a tour in Asia, Bryan Adams began work on the album Reckless . The recordings of Run to You started on 27 March 1984 in the Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver , Canada .
The publication took place on October 18, 1984. The song has been featured on every compilation of the singer so far.
Music video
The music video was directed by Steve Barron and shot in London and Los Angeles . Most of the music video shows excerpts from a Bryan Adams concert, in between you can see Bryan Adams playing the song in the snow and rain . Actress Lysette Anthony also starred in the clip .
In 1985 it was nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards in several categories, but was defeated in most cases by Don Henley's classic The Boys of Summer .
