En-Rage is a British dance floor - band of the 1990s, by the cover of Bryan Adams Hits Run to You became known. Outside of the German-speaking area, the group was called Rage . This name was already in Germany from the metal - band Rage occupied.

Band history

The project, founded in 1992, was backed by producers Barry Leng and Duncan Hannant, who also had success with E'Voke and the dance version of the John Waite classic Missing You . The vocal part was performed by Tony Jackson, who had already sung in TV commercials and worked as a studio and choir singer for Paul Young , Billy Ocean and Hot Chocolate . Jeffrey Sayadian, Toby Sadler, Angela Lupino and Pierson Grange completed the band with live performances.

The first single Run to You , a cover version of the Bryan Adams hit from 1984, led En-Rage straight into the European charts in late 1992 and early 1993 . In Germany , Austria and Switzerland there were top 20 placements, in Great Britain even position 3. The successor Why Don't You achieved middle chart positions in these countries in 1993. With House of the Rising Sun three months thereafter succeeded once again made it into the Austrian Top 20 and in the British Top 50. Give It Up flopped in the same year.

Two years later, En-Rage released another single, My Cryings Done . After Tony Jackson left the project, Steve Lee contributed the vocals. This production was not a commercial success and sealed the end of the band.
