description

The park is located in the New York borough of Manhattan between 5th and 6th Avenues and West 40th and West 42th Streets in Midtown Manhattan . Due to its central location, the park is an important attraction of the city of New York and therefore very popular with residents and tourists. With an area of 39,000 square meters, the park is rather a smaller one of the many green spaces in New York City. But because of its location and its design, it is very well known. Events take place in the green area, especially in summer. In winter, however, an ice rink is created there for ice skaters, a Christmas tree is set up and a Christmas market is held.

In the park on 5th Avenue is the New York Public Library . Many Manhattan attractions are close to Bryant Park, such as Times Square . The fourth tallest skyscraper in New York adjoins its north corner : the 366-meter-high Bank of America Tower , which was completed in 2009. The park is surrounded by other high-rise buildings. On West 40th Street, the park opposite, is the style of the Art Deco Built American Radiator Building (Bryant Park Hotel today) that the National Register of Historic Places is recorded.

Bryant Park is run by a private non-profit company that took over management of the park in 1988.
