The Bryconinae are a subfamily of the order of the characiformes . The fish live from southern Mexico to Argentina .
features
They are large fish with a trout-like appearance. The largest species are 70 centimeters long. The Bryconinae are characterized by two or more rows of teeth on the intermaxillary bone , a toothless wing bone and two rows of teeth in the lower jaw.
Systematics
There are three genera of which two, Chilobrycon and Henochilus , each contain only one species .
