Bryndís Haraldsdóttir

Bryndís Haraldsdóttir (born December 29, 1976 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( Independence Party ).

She is a qualified production manager , has a bachelor's degree in international marketing from what was then the Technical University of Iceland and has been training in public administration at the University of Iceland since 2011 . Among other things, she was CEO of the Icelandic bus company Strætó from 2014 to 2016 .

From 2002 to 2010 Bryndís Haraldsdóttir was a substitute councilor in Mosfellsbær . In November / December 2005 and February / March 2007 she served as deputy member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the southwest constituency .

In the parliamentary elections on October 29, 2016 , Bryndís Haraldsdóttir was elected to the Althing as the candidate of the Independence Party for the Southwestern constituency. As of March 2017, she is a member of the parliamentary committee on the environment and communication and the committee on foreign affairs. She is chair of the Icelandic delegation in the West Nordic Council and a member of the joint EU- Iceland parliamentary committee .
