The parish hall of the Evangelical Paulus Community is a listed parish hall in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the north side of Goethestrasse in Magdeburg's Stadtfeld Ost district at Goethestrasse 24 . The building is part of the Goethestrasse 22-28 monument area as a single monument .

Architecture and history

The two-and-a-half-story plastered building was built in 1896 for the day care club . The building, designed in the neo-renaissance style, was cautiously decorated with a profiled cornice and a serrated frieze. The western half of the facade is taken up by a protruding risalit . As a parish hall, the building belongs to the parish of the Protestant Paulus Church opposite . It is used by the Paulus Protestant day care center (as of 2017).

On the street side, there is a front garden in front of the house , so that the building jumps back a little behind the rest of the street.

In the local register of monuments , the parish hall is listed as a monument under registration number 094 81755 .

As part of the development on the Goetheanlage, the building is considered to be significant in terms of urban development.
