Goethestrasse 22–28 is a listed street row in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the western part of Goethestrasse in Magdeburg's Stadtfeld Ost district . In addition to the buildings mentioned in the name, the area of ​​the St. Paul's Church to the south of this also belongs to the monument area . Other individual monuments located in the monument area are the buildings at Goethestrasse 22 , the parish hall of the Evangelical Paulus Congregation (Goethestrasse 24), Goethestrasse 26 , 27 and 28 .

Architecture and history

The buildings in the monument area are representatively designed three- to four-storey buildings, which were built at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century mainly as rental houses. They are designed in the styles of neo-renaissance , neo-baroque and art nouveau . They pull themselves along the Goetheanlage through which the shot flows . The street line has largely been completely preserved.

In the local monument register , the street line is recorded as a monument area under registration number 094 81753.

The row of streets has a special urban development significance for the square-like extension at the west end of the Goetheanlage.
