Life

Jones has conducted a wide range of choral, orchestral and operatic repertoires in many European venues. From 1972 to 1976 he was musical director of the Corelli Choir and Orchestra, the Seren Orchestra, the Christchurch Choral Society and the Gwalia Male Voice Choir in Great Britain. Brynmor Jones has lived in Berlin since 1977. In 1978 he founded the "Berlin Arts Company". He was responsible for program design and conducted several concert series with contemporary music. In 1981 he became musical director of the Berlin Chamber Opera . Since 1994 there has been a record deal with Deutsche Schallplatten.

In the last ten years he has conducted concerts, radio broadcasts and sound recordings with the Scharoun Ensemble , the RIAS Chamber Choir , the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the NDR Hannover , the Berlin Symphonic Film Orchestra , the East Hungarian Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra , Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, the State Orchestra Rheinische Philharmonie and the Berlin Chamber Opera.

From 1996 to 2002 Brynmor Jones was Artistic Director of the Berlin Chamber Opera. As a composer, Brynmor Jones has specialized in “classic” film scoring for cinema and TV films, with an emphasis on large orchestral arrangements. He composed film scores for various television stations, including ARD , ZDF , RTL , Arte , Discovery Channel , Time Warner and arranged music for Shapiro and Carolco in the USA.
