Bubach am Forst is a church village in the municipality of Holzheim am Forst in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria . Bubach am Forst was the seat of the municipality of the same name until 1978 .

history

The Catholic Expositurkirche St. Peter and Paul is essentially Romanesque, the choir dates from the second half of the 15th century. The church was rebuilt in the baroque era , and the church was enlarged for the last time in 1890.

The community of Bubach am Forst came into being with the Bavarian community edict of 1818 and included the places Bubach a.Forst, Brunoder, Dornau, Geisenthal, Haslach, Hubhof, Irnhüll, Oedenholz, Traidenloh, Trischlberg, Unterbrunn and Widlthal.

Schönleiten, Ganglhof, Irlbründl, Kürnberg, Mettenbach, Neuried, Oberhub, Preischlgut, Richterskeller, Schnepfenberg, Unterhub and Wasa came on January 1st, 1971 from the municipality of Schönleiten to the municipality of Bubach am Forst. In addition, Buchenlohe, Dirnberg, Ellmau, Hohenwarth and Reingrub came from the dissolved municipality of Buchenlohe .

On January 1, 1978, the former districts of Schönleiten and Buchenlohe were incorporated into Regenstauf with the dissolution of the municipality of Bubach am Forst . The remaining parts of the community Bubach am Forst with the place itself came to Holzheim am Forst.
